At The Tabernacle we believe:

The Bible

The Bible to be the inspired word of God; the exclusive, and infallible authority in all matters of faith and conduct understood only through the illumination and teaching of the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead

The Godhead exists co-equal and co-eternal in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that these three are only one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.

The Lord Jesus Christ

In the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood; in His resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father.

Fallen Human Nature

That the depravity and rebellion of fallen human nature has rendered men subject to the wrath of God.

Salvation

That salvation is available to all upon repentance for sin and faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ; that this salvation includes justification, sanctification; will be evidenced in holy living. Neither is there salvation in any other.

Healing

In God's ability to work miracles, heal and to deliver through the name of Jesus.

Baptism

In adult baptism, or "believers' baptism", as recorded in the New Testament (Acts 2:41; 8:37; 9:17,18; 10:47; 16:15; 19:5, etc.) Conducted in the Biblical manner, a profession of faith is required from a person before baptism.

The Coming King

In the personal and victorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His Church in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

In the deity of the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son. The work of the Spirit in convincing men of sin, righteousness and of judgement; to teach; to bring to remembrance; to glorify Christ; to show things to come; to produce fruit in the life of the believer.

In the full power of Pentecost to equip believers for effective service and ministry In the operation of gifts of the spirit as found in 1 Cor 12 in the Church.

Marriage

In the Honourable estate of marriage between a man and a woman. Marriage is said to be "honourable" (Heb 13:4), and the prohibition of it is noted as one of the marks of degenerate times (1 Tim 4:3).

The marriage relation is used to represent the union between God and his people (Isa 54:5; Jer 3:1-14; Hos 2:9,20). In the New Testament the same figure is employed in representing the love of Christ to his saints (Eph 5:25-27). The Church of the redeemed is the "Bride, the Lamb's wife" (Rev 19:7-9).

The Future State

In the resurrection of the just and the unjust; the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in Christ and the eternal punishment of those who have ignored or rejected God's offer of salvation.
